As spring enters as our newest season, the bicycles start to come out. The road becomes busier!
The Watertown Optimus Club along with Codington County Extension Service and the Watertown Police Department are again excited to offer a bike safety date for our children. They will be inspecting bicycles for safety concerns and promoting safe bicycle riding for Lincoln Students on May 16, 2024 at 3:20pm.
Immediately following school dismissal, the Watertown Optimus Club and Watertown Police Department will be on the back playground (East side of Lincoln) to inspect bikes for safety concerns. They will also fill out forms for children to have a description of the serial number off their bike in case it is lost or stolen. Students who have their bicycle inspected will get a coupon from Papa Murphy’s and their name will be placed into a drawing for free helmet sponsored by SD Emergency Medical Services for Children.
Please send your child(ren) with their bicycle on May 16, 2024 for the 3:20pm inspections.
